I have been blessed with two once-in-a-life-time heart Boston Terriers, very different and each extremely special. Wheezer Owen Magnolia 1/24/1994 – 1/31/2004 in the lower right heart. and Bubba Dubya 8/16/2004 – 2/1/2018 in the upper left heart. Our natural, holistic breeding efforts are dedicated to their memories. I am convinced that both would have enjoyed healthier, longer lives than they had if I only knew then what I know now.    We are a small in-home breeding program, not a production breeder.   As such, we will have limited number(s) of litters per year, or perhaps no litter at all.  We had not had a litter since June 4, 2019 and waited well over a year for the next. We specialize in traditional, black & white or black, brindle & white Bostons with classic markings in the smaller sizes. Our parent dogs are our pets and live in our home with us, as do the puppies for as long as they are with us.   The puppies are handled from day #1, frequently and by multiple approved people.   We try our best to see that they get their nails trimmed every 7-10 days so they are familiar with the process before they leave our home.  That does not mean as they get older they like it, but they are exposed to it. They are loved on, played with, given individual attention as well as group attention frequently every day.  I give them names and they respond to them at an early age.  About the 3rd – 4th week, I add a potty mat to the play pen and they start using it right away!    Not exclusively, but from the beginning they use it over 50% and steadily improve from there. We require an application for prospective buyers interested in one of our puppies. Those who are approved will need to send a NON-REFUNDABLE holding fee in the amount specified under the puppy’s picture within 24 hours of being notified that your application has been approved in order to have the puppy held for you.  This can be done via cash for local buyers or Walmart2Walmart  for those too far away to pay in cash.   No PayPal, Credit Cards, Money Orders, Certified Checks, Cashier Checks or other means of payment.  Cash or Walmart2Walmart ONLY. This same procedure is applicable to those approved applicants who want to be placed on a waiting list for our next litter. The balance of the fee is due in cash at pickup unless you choose to prepay.    We can’t wait to meet all our new family members in person!  We do not ship our puppies because we want to meet the people who the puppies will be living their lives with.  It gives us the opportunity to observe the interactions between everyone, puppy and new owners included and make sure they are a good fit!   I do require that puppies be picked up by the buyer/owner ONLY – no 3rd parties, puppy nannies, etc.    Puppies are purchased with AKC limited registration and are not to be bred. If the new owner decides to have the puppy spayed or neutered it must be after 1 year of age and before 18 months of age.   Not before and not after.  Females should also have one heat prior to being spayed. It is our strong recommendation that a Naturally Reared pet should remain “natural” and not be de-sexed. The AKC paperwork will be transferred to the new owners roughly a month after the puppy is picked up. Though the new family can call the puppy whatever they desire, the registered name can not be changed. SELLER requires the buyer to include the suffix “Heirloom” to the AKC registeration name of all puppies who are shown or compete.
